Cecile and Tulane

1: How has your life changed since receiving your Service Dog?
I have found that over all I am calmer and do not get upset dearly as much as I used to. When I feel depressed he is there with his head in my lap making sure I am ok.

2: What is one thing you’re able to do now that you couldn’t before receiving your dog?
One very important thing is that when I get in a crowd my boy will always make sure I am safe and protected. If he senses something not right about someone approaching me, he makes sure that he is between me and that person.

3: Describe your daily life with your dog?
My boy is at my side all day. He knows when I need to calm down, when I get upset he is there.
Even when I was in the hospital, my family was able to bring him up to check on me and as soon as he entered my room they had to let him go as he was jumping into my bed to lay beside me.

4: What effect has your Service Dog had on the relationships in your life?
My whole family loves him and when we are out he will not only protect me but he also will protect my family is he thinks something is not right.

5: What is one thing you would tell a fellow veteran that was considering a Service Dog?
Do not wait, they are a life changer and when they say they save lives..Take that as the truth. Mine has saved my life.
