Michelle and Zepplyn
How has your life changed since receiving your service dog?
Everything has changed, I sleep better.
I got more places by myself,
And my anxiety while I’m public is way better.
I got more places by myself,
And my anxiety while I’m public is way better.
What is one thing you are able to do now that you couldn’t before receiving your dog?
Go in to a mall/ very busy place
Describe your daily life with your service dog?
Life with Zeppelin is amazing, he is by my side every day all day. He reminds me to calm down because he got me. We go for walks, we go to the beach. He makes every day good
What affect has your service dog had on the relationships in your life?
That can be tricky, because see a dog and pet a dog. I’m very good with my boundaries and saying he is not a house pet. He is mind and not everyone else’s.
What is one thing you would tell a fellow veteran that was considering a service dog?
That the work doesn’t stop after your class. That Zeppelin loves to be in vest! Cody told us that if we don’t continue to do training, we would have a glorified house dog. I know that for me if I skip a we with his training he gets sloppy, almost like a kid. So these dogs do everything for their person, so we should everything for them.
