Inge Conley was elected to a four-year term on the VFW's National Council of Administration on July 21, 2022, at the 123rd VFW National Convention in Kansas City, Missouri, representing the Department of Texas.

Inge served in the United States Army from 1975 to 1995, earning her VFW eligibility by serving in Korea with the 2nd Infantry Division. In recognition of her service, she received the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Korean Defense Medal, among others.

She joined the VFW in 2007 at Post 12075 in Humble, Texas, where she maintains her Gold Legacy Life membership. She has served in elected and appointed positions at the Post, District and Department levels, culminating with her election as the Department of Texas Commander in 2018, in which she earned All-American status. On the national level, she has served on the National Women's Veterans Committee, Finance and Internal Organization Committee, Veterans Service Committee, Veterans Service Resolutions Committee, and has served as National Deputy Chief of Staff, National Aide-de-Camp and Special Aide-de-Camp

Inge retired from the United States Army as a master sergeant.

Inge and her husband, Earl, reside in Humble, Texas.
